I get woken up with a phone call, and it’s a manager asking me to come in early, in about an hour and a half.

I’m barely awake, still recovering from my crazy changes in scheduling. I tell them I can’t come in that early. It takes me about an hour to get to the store, after eating, showering, etc, at least, and I really need an hour or two more of sleep or I’ll be less help then if I didn’t show up.

However, I COULD come in earlier then my actually scheduled shift, but before I can tell the manager this, they just say “Oh okay then!” and then hang up.

…I guess you really didn’t need me that badly…

And it turned out it was dead during that time too, so I’d have just run up our labor if I came in.
