Working in breakfast grill (hate, of the extreme variety, blah blah blah), and twice in close succession we get customers ordering our Big Breakfast with Hotcakes, and then once we’ve made them, canceling them.

So one of my coworkers in grill is sent on their lunch break, and they order a Big Breakfast with Hotcakes. Since it’s slow at the moment, I walk up to the counter, and jokingly go “So you’re not going to cancel that, right?”

And they just sort of stare at me, and go “What?”

“Well, the last two Big Breakfasts we had got canceled, remember…?”

And just more staring, so I just sigh and walk back to grill to make it. Theirs was special, easy enough to change, and the manager on duty walks up to me, apparently thinking I’m an idiot, going “Looks it’s really easy to make! Just do this, and this.”

Annoyed at this manager already, I do respond “I know what to do. I was just making a joke to them earlier I thought they would get.”

Just…uuuuuuugh. Manager, if you see me making a mistake, POINT IT OUT. Don’t just then automatically assume I don’t know how to do anything.
